Spicy Lemon Pepper Chicken

Ingredients

4 Chicken Breasts

2 Tablespoons Lemon Zest

2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (Adjust According To Your Spice Preference) 3 Bay Leaves

1 Teaspoon Paprika

1 Teaspoon Salt

2 Teaspoons Black Pepper

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Step: 1

Start By Preparing The Chicken Breasts. If They Are Thick, You Can Butterfly Them By Cutting Horizontally Through The Middle And Opening Them Like A Book To Create Thinner Pieces. This Will Help Them Cook Faster And More Evenly.

Step: 2

In A Small Bowl, Combine The Lemon Zest, Lemon Juice, Black Pepper, Salt, Paprika, Garlic Powder, Cayenne Pepper, And Olive Oil. Mix Well To Create A Marinade.

Step: 3

Place The Chicken Breasts In A Shallow Dish Or A Ziplock Bag, And Pour The Marinade Over Them. Make Sure Each Piece Is Coated Evenly. Allow The Chicken To Marinate For At Least 30 Minutes, Or You Can Refrigerate It For A Few Hours To Enhance The Flavors.

Step: 4

Heat A Large Skillet Or A Grill Pan Over Medium-high Heat. Add A Drizzle Of Olive Oil To The Pan And Let It Heat Up.

Step: 5

Once The Pan Is Hot, Add The Marinated Chicken Breasts To The Pan, Allowing Any Excess Marinade To Drip Off Before Placing Them In The Pan. Cook The Chicken For About 5-7 Minutes Per Side, Or Until It Is Cooked Through And Reaches An Internal Temperature Of 165°f (74°c).

Step: 6

As The Chicken Cooks, You Can Baste It With Any Remaining Marinade To Add Extra Flavor.

Step: 7

Once The Chicken Is Fully Cooked, Remove It From The Pan And Let It Rest For A Few Minutes Before Slicing Or Serving.

Step: 8

Serve The Spicy Lemon Pepper Chicken With Your Favorite Sides, Such As Steamed Vegetables, Rice, Or A Fresh Salad.

Enjoy Your Delicious Spicy Lemon Pepper Chicken Cooked Without An Oven!
