Minced Meat Sauce

Ingredients

1 Pound (450g) Minced Meat (Beef, Pork, Or A Combination

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1 Medium Onion, Finely Choppe

2 Cloves Of Garlic, Minced

1 Can (14 Ounces/400g) Diced Tomatoes 1 Can (6 Ounces/170g) Tomato Paste
1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano 1 Teaspoon Dried Basil

1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds

Salt To Taste

Black Pepper To Taste

 

 

 

Step: 1

Heat The Olive Oil In A Large Skillet Or Saucepan Over Medium Heat.

Step: 2

Add The Chopped Onion And Minced Garlic To The Pan And Sauté Until They Become Translucent And Fragrant.

Step: 3

Add The Minced Meat To The Pan And Cook Until Browned, Breaking It Up With A Spoon Or Spatula. Take It In A Bowl And Keep It Aside.

 

Step: 4

In The Same Skillet, Stir In The Diced Tomatoes, And Tomato Paste. Cook For Few Minutes.

Step: 5

Add The Dried Basil, Cumin Seeds, Dried Oregano, Salt, And Black Pepper. Mix Well To Combine.

Step: 6

Return The Meat Sauce In The Tomato Peste To The Pot. Reduce The Heat To Low And Let The Sauce Simmer For About 20-30 Minutes, Stirring Occasionally To Prevent Sticking.

Step: 7

Taste The Sauce And Adjust The Seasoning If Needed, Adding More Salt, Pepper, Or Herbs To Suit Your Taste.

Step: 8

Remove From Heat And Let The Sauce Rest For A Few Minutes Before Serving. You Can Serve This Sauce With Noodles If You Want.

This Minced Meat Sauce Goes Well With Pasta, Such As Spaghetti Or Penne. You Can Also Use It As A Topping For Pizza Or As A Filling For Lasagna Or Stuffed Peppers. Enjoy!
