Honey Chamomile Cake

Ingredients

2 Cups All-purpose Flour

2 Teaspoons Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1 Tablespoon Dried Chamomile Flowers 1 Cup Unsalted Butter, Softened
1 Cup Granulated Sugar 3 Large Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract 1/2 Cup Honey

1 Cup Buttermilk

1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

 

Step: 1

Preheat Your Oven To 350°f (175°c). Grease And Flour A 9-inch Round Cake Pan.

Heat Milk And Dried Chamomile Flowers In A Medium Saucepan Over Low Heat And Simmer For A While.

When The Milk Begins To Boil, Remove The Saucepan From It And Separate The Dried Chamomile Flowers Through A Strainer.

In A Medium Bowl, Whisk Together The Shaken Milk, Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, And Salt. Set Aside.

In A Large Mixing Bowl, Cream Together The Softened Butter And Granulated Sugar Until Light And Fluffy. Add The Eggs One At A Time, Beating Well After Each Addition. Stir In The Vanilla Extract.

Add The Honey And Lemon Juice To The Butter Mixture And Mix Until Well Combined.

Gradually Add The Dry Ingredients To The Butter Mixture, Alternating With The Buttermilk. Begin And End With The Dry Ingredients, Mixing Well After Each Addition. Be Careful Not To Overmix.

Pour The Batter Into The Prepared Cake Pan And Smooth The Top With A Spatula. Tap The Pan Gently On The Counter To Remove Any Air Bubbles. Bake In The Preheated Oven For 35-40 Minutes, Or Until A Toothpick Inserted Into The Center Of The Cake Comes Out Clean.
